Fifty shades of Brexit
There has been much speculation that Britain’s vote to leave the EU will trigger its disintegration. In this piece for the LSE's BrexitVote blog I look at various scenarios to consider whether this could happen. He maintains that rebuilding trust and relations between the UK and the EU will not be easy as there won’t be any sudden divorce in the first place. Instead of a simplistic narrative of in/out we need to think of future relations in terms of shades of grey.

answers.

Forget independence for London – but the capital now needs its own devolved government more than ever
I wrote a while ago on the need to grant devolution to London. The referendum result saw London along with Scotland and N Ireland (and several other cities such as Liverpool and Manchester) vote remain. The result has led to calls for London to seek independence. That's not going to happen. But a devolved government for London can and should...

How will the EU interpret the Brexit vote?
How is the EU going to interpret the British vote to withdraw from the EU? As Tim Oliver explains, the remaining members of the EU now face three challenges: finding a unified initial response, finding a reliable UK government to begin negotiations with, and reflecting on what it means for current ideas of European integration and unity.
